Investigation of the diffusion process of a fissioning nuclear system. (II) Analysis of the behavior of the quasistationary state

Journal Article · · Chin. Phys.; (United States)

Based on the diffusion model of nuclear fission some observable quantities in the fission process are calculated, for example, the fission rate at the saddle point, average collective energy at the scission point etc. by solving the time-dependent Fokker-Planck equation. The results are compared with those in Kramers' stationary approximation.
