Study of the diffusion process of a fissioning nuclear system. (1) Analysis of the process approaching equilibration

The diffusion motion of a fissioning system by the propagator method of solving the Fokker-Planck equation is described. More attention is paid to the process approaching equilibration for a fissioning system from the ground state over the saddle point to the scission point; the time evolution of the distribution, the fission rate at saddle point, the mean value as well as the variance of the kinetic energy at scission are computed for different friction coefficients and temperature.
