Determination of the total cross sections for interaction with nucleons of. pi. /sup 0/, eta,. omega. , and f mesons produced by 3. 2-GeV/c. pi. /sup -/ mesons in xenon nuclei

Production of ..pi../sup 0/,eta, ..omega.., and f meson by 3.2-GeV/c ..pi../sup -/ mesons in xenon nuclei has been studied. Total cross sections have been determined for interaction of these particles with nucleons: sigma/sub (/0/sub N/=34/sub -/8/sup +16/ mb, sigma/sub etaN/=15/sup +6//sub -/4 mb, sigma/sub omegaN/=29/sup +18//sub -/9 mb, and sigma/sub f/N=42/sup +17//sub -/9 mb.
