Book ·
OSTI ID:6009789
A recommendation from the Interior and Insular Affairs Committee of the House in support of H.R. 3372 would allow the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, as well as other new states which become eligible for ratification, to enter a regional compact to handle low-level wastes. The purpose is to control the costs and reduce the number of low-level waste facilities which must be built and operated. The report cites case histories and describes the conditions for consent, then makes a section-by-section analysis of the bill's provisions for facility access, operation, and financing.
