The effect of transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields on the performance of ten domestic (FEU-60, FEU-87, FEU-126, FEU-85, FEU-84, FEU-36, FEU-30, FEU-110, FEU-63, and FEU-65) and two imported (XP-1020 and EMI-9839A) photomultipliers was studied in comparative evaluation testing. The magnetic field strength was varied within the 0 to 37 Oe range. Photomultiplier signals as functions of the fields are plotted.
