Selection of FEU-84-3 photomultipliers for pulse photometers according to single-electron characteristics

The single-electron characteristics of a batch of 30 FEU-84-3 photomultipliers are measured. The effect of the modulator supply parameters on the principal parameters is shown. It is concluded that selected FEU-84-3 photomultipliers can be used in threshold measurements as well as in pulse photometers with a wide dynamic range of light signals.
