The State of the Union Message on January 15, 1975 by the then President Gerald R. Ford is presented. A fact sheet and some questions and answers concerning the message are then given. The next section on gasoline rationing describes a rationing plan, the World War II plan, and an editorial on How to Ration Gasoline. The price effects of the President's message and some special questions and answers on the plan are presented followed by a map showing gasoline consumption by state. The final sections include information on the regional assessment of import fees; the Northeast energy problem and alternatives; a section by section response to S. Res. 425; and a report on the petroleum import fees.
