Emulsion bombardment by 250- and 70-GeV protons produced 92 recorded mesic decays of hypernuclei. The frequency of such decays per inelastic interaction was (3.2 +- 1.0)x10/sup -4/ and (2.4 +- 0.3)x10/sup -4/ at 70 and 250 GeV, respectively. The frequency of observing mesic decays at approx.100--150 GeV is estimated at (2.7 +- 1.2)x10/sup -4/. It is shown that within the limits of the achieved measurement accuracy the hypernucleus yield in interactions of nonstrange hadrons with nuclei in emulsion depends little on energy in the wide energy range from 5 to 250 GeV and amounts to (1.5-3)x10/sup -3/ per inelastic interaction. The observed characteristics of the hypernuclei are composed with the data for hadron energies up to 25 GeV, as well as with the characteristics of ordinary fragments.
