The research activities within the School of Electrical Engineering of Purdue University are summarized. It is intended as a reference document for colleagues, prospective graduate students and organizations interested in electrical engineering research. The research summaries are organized according to ten areas, which are: automataic controls; bioengineering; circuits and systems; communications; computers and automata; electromagnetic fields and quantum electronics; energy sources and systems; solid state devices and materials; engineering education; and software development. The research and educational facilities that are available, the recent publications by the staff, and the external funds that support the activities are described in the Appendices.
