OSTI ID:5952450
Amendments to the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act cite five locations on the Cache la Poudre River in the Rocky Mountain National Park that are protected from development or any diversion of the stream and designated as recreation areas. The Bill also cites locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, and California for similar acquisition and other locations for study. Such designation precludes the construction of dams that would interfere with the free flow of the water. The Bill establishes fee title to lands and establishes scenic easements along adjoining private lands, while reserving the continued use of the land by owners.
