Water Resources Committee: survey of Wyoming water law 1975-78

This paper reviews significant legislative, judicial, and administrative activity in water resource development in Wyoming from 1975 to 1978. In 1973 Wyoming legislation provided for the development of a water resource plan but did not provide for implementation of any plans that were actually developed. In 1975 new legislation approved methods and mechanisms for implementation of approved water projects. Particular laws relating to Wyoming water passed during 1975-78 are reviewed. Judicial activity during the period is summarized. Several decisions reached in 1977 by the Wyoming State Board of Control and the State Engineer's Office are discussed.
