Journal Article · · Energy Detente; (United States)
OSTI ID:5875117
The capacity shifts and shakeouts in the workd refining industry have accelerated from last year's tremor to this year's quake - as demonstrated by the content in featured presentations, dozens of technical papers, and probably thousands of consultations that took place at the recent 83rd annual meeting of the National Petroleum Refiners Asssociation in San Antonio, Texas. Beseiged on all sides by basic changes in product requirements and marketing strategies, refiners are challenged in new, multiple ways to cut costs for survival. This issue contains refining netback data from the US Gulf and West Coasts as well as from Rotterdam and Singapore. It also has the fuel price tax series and industrial fuel prices for March 1985 for countries of the Eastern Hemisphere.
