Refining: Moods and modes 1991. U. S. government mandates for gasoline

Journal Article · · Energy Detente; (USA)

Future, supply of gasoline is now burdened with many more unknowns than ever before, according to US refiners. The US Congress' amendments last year to the Clean Air Act will alter the petroleum refining and additives capacities, chemical makeup of fuels, exchanges, and buying and selling - all at unknown additional costs. This issue of Energy Detente registers US refiners' dismay at what the fact shakeout might bring as it updates their traditional coverage of the National Petroleum Refiners Association annual meetings. This issue also presents the following: (1) the ED Refining Netback Data for the US Gulf and West Coasts, Rotterdam, and Singapore as of March 22, 1991; and (2) the ED Fuel Price Tax Series for countries of the Eastern hemisphere, March 1991 edition. 4 figs., 5 tabs.
