The economics of forestry and natural resources

Book ·
OSTI ID:5833217
This book is a synthesis of current research on forestry available, and discusses the economics of natural resources in general. The authors discuss the economics of non-renewable and renewable resources, develop cost-benefit rules and show how a general theoretical model can be converted into a useful empirical model. The book begins with a study of investment theory and moves on to a discussion of the general principles underlying the economics of natural resources. The authors then develop a theory of pure forest economics, introducing risk and uncertainty into their model.
