Isotope shift in the two stable isotopes of Eu/sup +/ has been obtained for four optical transitions between the states 4f/sup 7/(/sup 8/S/sup 0/)5d /sup 9/D/sub J//sup 0/ and 4f/sup 7/(/sup 8/S/sub 7/2//sup 0/)6p/sub 3/2/;J' using high-precision hyperfine structure measurements in a collinear laser and slow ion beam (1.35 keV) apparatus. 5 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab.
