In the additive quark model the inclusive spectra of hadrons with x> or approx. =0.2 are formed by the spectator mechanism. The increase of the total cross sections of hadron-hadron collisions and the change in the contribution of Glauber shadow effects resulting from this increase should reduce the average number of spectator quarks and, consequently, lead to scaling violation in the yields of fragmentation particles. In this paper we calculate the effects of scaling violation in pp inclusive spectra for variation of sigma/sub tot/ (pp) from 40 to 60 mb.
