Diagram of phases of system Tl/sub 2/O-MoO/sub 3/ (in French)

Six thallium(I) molybdates with numerous allotropic modifications have been found in the binary system Tl/sub 2/O-MoO/sub 3/; Tl/sub 4/MoO/sub 5/, Tl/sub 2/Mo/sub 2/O/sub 7/, Tl/sub 8/Mo/sub 10/O/sub 34/ (three forms), and Tl/sub 2/Mo/sub 7/O/sub 22/ (two forms) melt incongruously; Tl/sub 2/MoO/sub 4/ and Tl/sub 2/Mo/sub 4/O/sub 13/ which are trimorphic melt congruently. For the most part, the compounds were characterized by their powder diagram and by their IR spectrum which allowed comparisons with alkaline molybdates. 27 references, 2 figures.
