Lead poisoning of cattle

It is believed that lead poisoning of cattle and especially of calves occurs more frequently than reports would indicate. It is difficult without a chemical examination to make a positive diagnosis of plumbism in cases where one cannot detect any evidence that lead has been consumed. It should be kept in mind that cattle often find the toxic material even though dumped or discarded in out-of-the-way places. Cattle seem to have an uncanny ability to locate the same. The method used in analysis is not difficult and is not a lengthy procedure. 1 table.
