7 utilities encouraging self-help gas for users

Self-help gas programs benefit both users, who buy directly from wellhead producers, and utilities, which will still retain transportaion revenues that they would lose if users switch to residual oil. Seven Mid-Atlantic gas utilities developed the self-help program to encourage the continued use of gas, but users with dual-fuel capability report that they will require self-help gas to meet or better the price of No. 6 oil.
