Smaller gas hikes seen; users switching from oil

Natural gas utilities see smaller price increases as the industry tries to stay competitive with low oil prices and encourage dual-fuel users to continue switching back to gas. Higher oil prices, ample gas supplies during the summer, and a high demand for asphalt have increased gas sales, but utilities want special incentive rates to retain the new industrial load. The forecasts summarize gas markets for each of the six regions. (DCK)
