The subjects discussed in this report supplement Deliverable No. 1, Demonstration Plant Description. The intent is to develop in depth some of the problems associated with raw material sources, critical design considerations, prototype equipment, environmental and safety regulations, safety, operability, data base, trade-offs, and confidence analyses. The report includes, where applicable, work that must be done in order to be able to produce the detailed final design for the Demonstration Plant. Areas where final decisions regarding trade-off studies and process configurations have not been made are also indicated.
