Transmission towers for Project EHV

Construction is in full swing on the prototype ehv transmission system known as Project EHV. Electrical performance will be investigated from 400 to 750 kV. Instruments will record the mechanical performance of conductors and towers. The technical knowledge gained in this project will help utilities design future transmission lines capable of delivering larger blocks of power economically over narrow rights-of-way.
