Composition-property dependences in solid solutions based on GeTe in the Ge-Bi-Te system

The authors investigate the concentration dependence of properties of the Ge-Bi-Te system. The nature of the dependence of microhardness, charge-carrier concentration, and coefficient of thermo-emf on the alloy composition is determined on different sections of the Ge-Bi-Te ternary system in a range of concentrations, adjoining the binary compound GeTe. The solution isotherm is constructed at 770/sup 0/K. The nature of the change in properties of different radial sections is analyzed.
