Renal excretion of /sup 99m/Tc-diphosphonate in osteomalacia

Bone scans were performed on a patient with osteomalacia using /sup 99m/technetium-ethane-1-hydroxy-1,1-diphosphonate (/sup 99m/Tc-EHDP). The renal excretion of /sup 99m/Tc-EHDP was measured and the results were compared with those obtained in 4 patients with idiopathic osteoporosis. (RJC)
