This paper reports on a blast cleaning, bellhole reconditioning system that has been designed to provide bellhole refurbishment, including coating removal and surface preparation. This system mechanizes the reconditioning of extremely short segments of pipe, or bellholes. With the new system, investigations and repairs are performed in the ditch, while the pipe line remains in service.
