The latest gas-turbine-driven compressor system from Norwalk-Turbo, Inc., is a portable, trailer-mounted version of the TC-60 model, specifically designed for standby service during pipeline maintenance. Rates at 5400 hp, this system represents one of the most powerful portable units of its kind. When a pipeline section has to be serviced, this portable compressor allows the maintenance engineer to transfer the gas from that section to the next, rather than vent it to the atmosphere, for significant gas savings.
