Solid solutions in the system TlInS/sub 2/-TlDyS/sub 2/

The authors study the solid solutions based on TlInS/sub 2/ in the title system. The starting substances were elements of high purity Tl, Dy, In, and S. The alloys were synthesized and subjected to x-ray analysis. The results of the identification of the x-ray pictures of the alloys obtained showed that these phases crystallize in the tetragonal system based on the lattice of the starting TlInS/sub 2/. The solid solutions in the title system were synthesized and the region of solubility of TlDyS/sub 2/ and TlInS/sub 2/ was determined.
