Data on multiplicity, correlations, and inclusive spectra of {ital K}{sub {ital S}}{sup 0} mesons and {Lambda}{sup 0} ({bar {Lambda}} {sup 0}) hyperons produced with {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{le}0 in inelastic {sup 20}Ne and {ital pN} interactions at 300 GeV are presented and compared. The inclusive cross sections for {ital p} {sup 20}Ne ({ital pN}) with {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{le}0 are 61.1{plus minus}2.8 mb (3.34{plus minus}0.64 mb) for {ital K}{sub {ital S}}{sup 0}, 40.8{plus minus}2.5 mb (1.89{plus minus}0.29 mb) for {Lambda}{sup 0}, and 3.9{plus minus}0.5 mb (0.31{plus minus}0.08 mb) for {bar {Lambda}} {sup 0}. The multiplicity ratio for {ital p} {sup 20}Ne and {ital pN} interactions is 1.58{plus minus}0.16 for {ital K}{sub {ital S}}{sup 0}, 1.95{plus minus}0.23 for {Lambda}{sup 0}, and 1.12{plus minus}0.43 for {bar {Lambda}} {sup 0}. We have observed the {Sigma}{sup 0}(1193) hyperon and measured the average multiplicity ({ital n}{sub {Sigma}}{sup 0}=0.049{plus minus}0.027) for {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{le}0. We have also observed the strange resonances {ital K}{sup *}(892), {ital K}{sup *}(1415), and {Sigma}{sup *}(1385) with {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{le}0 and measured the fraction of {ital V}{sup 0} coming from each resonance. {Lambda}{sup 0} polarization for {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{le}0 is measured and shows a decrease as {ital p}{sub {perpendicular}} increases ({ital p}{sub {Lambda}}({ital p} {sup 20}Ne){approx}{minus}0.25 at {ital p}{sub {perpendicular}}=1.5 GeV/{ital c}), in agreement with other experiments which measure polarization in the region {ital x}{sub {ital F}}{much gt}0. Since (43{plus minus}7)% of the {Lambda}{sup 0} are produced in {Sigma}{sup 0}{r arrow}{Lambda}{sup 0}{gamma} decays, the {Lambda}{sup 0} polarization is significantly greater than the measured values.
