Air quality simulation models are discussed. Application of air quality models with regard to environmental transport of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, ozone, particulate matter, aerosols and hydrocarbons is evaluated. Model validations on smooth and rough terrain are discussed. Dispersion of plumes and data acquisition methods are reviewed.
