Modular construction of the Endicott project

Endicott will be the first offshore oil field in the Arctic producing 100,000 barrels of oil per day. The drilling, processing and support facilities will be located on two islands approximately 2 1/2 miles offshore. The major facilities will be in six modules, 95 feet wide by 150 to 180 feet in plan an up to 110 feet high. The heaviest module will weigh over 4,000 tons. The modules will be barged from New Iberia, Louisiana where they are assembled, to Alaska in two sealifts. The major modules will be loaded and offloaded using four tracker crawlers under each module.
