Model for the elongation of boron on tungsten during chemical vapor deposition

Elongation of boron on tungsten filament during chemical vapor deposition was investigated. A model for the elongation is proposed, and a computer program designed to simulate the deposition and elongation is described. Residual stress distribution in the filaments was generated by the program. Good agreement was found between the proposed model and experimental results.
