The authors investigate the radiolysis of aqueous organic systems of trichlorobenzene + H/sub 2/O (4 M HNO/sub 3/). The radiolysis products of TCB in two-phase systems were identified, and the radiation chemical yields of the products were determined. The action of water on the radiolysis of TCB consists chiefly of an increase in G(HCl). It was shown that in the radiolysis of TCB in contact with 4 M HNO/sub 3/, processes of nitration of TCB do not play any significant role.
