This publication contains papers related to the assessment of structural integrity in pressure vessels and piping. The papers in this volume were prepared for technical sessions developed under the sponsorship of the Materials and Fabrication, and the Operations, Applications, and components Committees of ASME for the 1991 Pressure Vessels and Piping Division Conference in San Diego, California, June 24-28, 1991. The primary objectives of these organizations are to provide a forum for the dissemination of information, and the advancement of current theories and practices relative to pressure vessels, piping and related components. As with the earlier volume in this series published in 1990 (PVP-Vol. 195), this volume contains a number of international contributions. This volume is presented in five sections; reliability and risk in pressure vessels and piping, assessment of elastic plastic fracture in welded pipes, residual stresses in pressure vessels and piping, polymers and composites in pipes and pressure vessels, and materials behavior and design for high temperature cyclic service.
