Jordan: World Oil Report 1991

This paper reports that despite effects of the Gulf war from 1990 onward, Jordan recorded 11 wells drilled during the year, including one oil producer, two gas wells, six dry holes and two suspensions. Footage totaled 79,584 ft. In 1991, 10 wells are forecast to be drilled. Petro-Canada International Assistance Corp. implemented the $15 million phase 2 of its program in Jordan last year. Included was $8 million for two new rigs and other drilling equipment, plus training, management help, etc. Production in 1990 averaged 326 bopd and 15.1 MMcfgd from four oil wells and two gas wells. Reserves were 4.5 million bbl of oil and 388 bcfg.
