The supernova remnant OA 184 has been observed interferometrically in the H..cap alpha.. line with a high-contrast Fabry--Perot etalon and a contact image converter. The mean expansion velocity of the diffuse filamentary envelope is 50 +- 14 km/sec. The most rapidly accelerated gaseous structures are traveling away from the center at approx. = 120--130 km/sec, corresponding to the shock propagation velocity in the intercloud medium. If the adiabatic model is adopted, the envelope has a characteristic expansion time of 7.5x10/sup 4/ yr; the initial energy of the outburst would have been 10/sup 51/ erg.
