We calculate the tritium binding energy using the {sup 1}{ital S}{sub 0} and {sup 3}{ital S}{sub 1}--{sup 3}{ital D}{sub 1} potentials of the method of compound quark bags. By solving the Faddeev five-channel equations in the momentum representation we obtain the value {ital B}{sub {ital T}}{congruent}8.1 MeV, which removes partially the tritium underbinding found for most of the realistic'' {ital NN} potentials. We present also the results for the spectral function of the two-particle disintegration and for the nucleon momentum distribution in {sup 3}He.
