The Nuclear Waste Policy Act Amendments of 1986 remove the requirement of a second repository for the disposal of high-level radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel. The bill removes deadlines and requirements relating to the selection of a site for a second or subsequent repositories. The final section of the bill prohibits any expenditures from the Nuclear Waste Fund for a second or subsequent repository.
