Journal Article · · Ocean Ind.; (United States)
OSTI ID:5502838

Shell UK Exploration and Production Ltd. has increased the Brent North Sea oilfield production from 100,000 to 250,000 bbl/day by bypassing the Spar tanker loading unit and storage buoy storage facilities, and by pumping directly to four dedicated tankers, Shell's 65,000 dwt Sereni. In the remote event that bad weather stops the tanker loadings, Brent will continue to produce to the storage tanks of the Brent Bravo and Delta concrete platforms, each of which has a storage capacity.
