A survey of the People's Republic of China gas and oil development activities shows that a monobuoy offshore loading facility, which includes a 185,000 bbl storage barge, is under construction at Dairen. An oil terminal, near Dairen, receives crude oil from Taching field through a 675 mi, 28 in. dia pipeline. The terminal can load one 100,000 dwt tanker and one 50,000 dwt tanker. Loading rate is 70,000 bbl/hr through four 28 in. dia lines from elevated, insulated tanks which gravity-charge loading pumps. Onshore storage is 2.6 million bbl.
