Accumulation of latex in Peyer's patches and its subsequent appearance in villi and mesenteric lymph nodes

The intestinal response of migratory macrophages of Peyer's patches to latex particles is discussed. The time dependent concentration and subsequent movement of the latex particles from the Peyer's patches to mesenteric lymph nodes and villi in mice support a theory of Peyer's patches as samplers for intestinal contents.
