Reactions induced by 34. 8-MeV /sup 3/He ions in /sup 27/Al, /sup 59/Co, and /sup 112/Sn with emission of protons, deuterons, tritons, and. cap alpha. particles
For reactions induced by 34.8-MeV /sup 3/He ions in /sup 27/Al, /sup 59/Co, and /sup 112/Sn we report differential cross sections, cross sections integrated over angle, and angular distributions of protons, deuterons, tritons, and ..cap alpha.. particles. The cross sections integrated over angle are analyzed in the framework of a phenomenological exciton model of pre-equilibrium decay. In the analysis we use densities of states of the excited nucleus both on the basis of an equidistant single-particle spectrum and on the basis of single-particle level schemes in a Seager-Howard zero-deformation model. The behavior of the theoretical cross sections with various doorway configurations is studied, and also the behavior with variation of the mean square of the matrix element of intranuclear transitions. We discuss the use of the exciton model for description of integrated spectra in the region of appreciable symmetry of the angular distributions.
