Reaction mechanisms for (/sup 3/He,/sup 3/He') reactions on /sup 27/Al, /sup 58//sup ,//sup 60/Ni, /sup 59/Co, /sup 90/Zr, and /sup 112/Sn at energies E(/sup 3/He) = 60. 5 MeV
Continuous spectrum cross sections were studied for inelastic (/sup 3/He,/sup 3/He') scattering on /sup 27/Al, /sup 58//sup ,//sup 60/Ni, /sup 59/Co, /sup 90/Zr, and /sup 112/Sn nuclei at accelerated /sup 3/He ion energies of 60.5 MeV. The experimental data are satisfactorily described by the phenomenological model of statistical multistep processes, except for the region of small angles <30--45/sup 0/. At small angles a very strong asymmetry was observed, which may be connected with inelastic scattering of /sup 3/He on surface ..cap alpha.. clusters. The generalized exciton model gives a substantially worse description of the experimental data. Nuclear quasitemperature parameters are determined, as well as the relative contribution to the cross section at a given angle from different steps of the statistical multistep process.
