The US Environmental Protection Agency has denied petitions for reconsideration of its parameter adjustment regulations, or emissions testing procedure but will address the petitioners' concerns in a forthcoming rulemaking. The petitions by General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co., and American Motors Corp., and EPA's response are discussed.
