This document summarizes the research activities within the School of Electrical Engineering of Purdue University for July 1, 1990--June 30, 1991. It is intended as a reference document for colleagues, prospective graduate students and organizations interested in electrical engineering research. The research activities of Par 1 are organized according to ten areas. The first eight of these are areas in which the Purdue Electrical Engineering graduate program is divided for administrative purposes. The ten areas are: automatic controls; electromagnetic fields; bioengineering; energy source and systems; circuit theory; solid state devices and materials; communications and signal processing; engineering education; and computer engineering.
