Properties of glasses of the PbO-CdO-B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ system

Journal Article · · Inorg. Mater. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:5400376
Low-melting glasses containing oxides of divalent metals are significant modifiers in the sintering of solid-solution piezoceramics based on lead zirconate-titanate with participation of the liquid phase. The authors attempt to rationally select a composition for the realization of determining the electrical conduction and density of glasses of the ternary system PbO-CdO-B/sub 2/O/sub 3/. The IR spectra of the 5PbO X 4B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ - 3CdO X 2B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and 2PbO X B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ - 3CdO X B/sub 2/O/sub 3/ glass sections are shown.
