The electrical properties of glasses in the pseudobinary PbO {center_dot} B{sub 2}O{sub 3}-PbHal{sub 2} and 2PbO {center_dot} B{sub 2}O{sub 3}-PbHal{sub 2} systems (Hal = Cl, Br, and I) are considered. It is shown that, despite an overall similarity, the relationships derived exhibit some differences traceable to the specific type of matrix glass tested, that is, the concentration ratio [PbO]/[B{sub 2}O{sub 3}]. The results obtained are compared with the data on the investigations of glasses in the PbO {center_dot} SiO{sub 2}-PbHal{sub 2} and 2PbO {center_dot} SiO{sub 2}-PbHal{sub 2} systems. It is found that the high concentrations of structurally bound water in the borate-bases glasses affect the relationships derived.
