Truncation of focones and foclines at the large-aperture end leads to a relatively small reduction in the concentration coefficient but substantially reduces the depth of the concentrator. Thus, the truncation of a focone (with parametric angle of 20 degrees by one third and the truncation of the analogous focline by one half results in a reduction in the concentration factor by only 10%. The formulas, graphs, and the table allow us to determine, readily and simply, the parameters of truncated focones and foclines for a given depth and acceptable reduction in the concentration coefficient.
