The feasibility of retrofitting O'Malley's Old Mill Dam near Athens, GA for power generation was examined. This dam has a developable head of 15 ft. and was built in 1856 to supply water to a mill which as since been converted to a bar. The study of environmental, institutional, safety and economic factors showed that commercial hydroelectric power development at this site is not economically feasible. (LCL)
