A forecast of 1977 energy consumption, based on econometric modeling of socio-economic factors and energy prices and on a correlation of per capita real disposable income with per capita energy consumption, is compared with the 1976 predictions and actual consumption. Details of supply and consumption estimates are summarized in tables which indicate group consumption by energy source. Total projected comsumption is increasedform 74.3 to 78.65 quads, with the major increases in nuclear electricity, coal, and hydroelectricity. Decreases are projected for natural gas and petroleum. The projections are compared and averaged with those of the Oil and Gas Journal. (DCK)
