Gas use to gain additional ground. [Latin America]

Gas utilization in Latin America will continue its present fast climb; by the end of 1970, it should surpass 9,000 MMcfd. Gas-liquids output should near 170,000 bpd. Both associated and natural gases are being used in increasing amounts as petrochemical feedstocks and industrial fuels, as well as in oil-field repressuring operations. Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Venezuela will account for most of the gain in gas-liquids production--at least 4 of the 8 gas-processing plants now under construction will be on stream in 1970.
